And do not water all the dirt at once. The roots at that stage want oxygenated water and until they have the ability to wick it up moister from the soil it will drown quickly.
It's more of an advanced skill and some plants dont take kindly to it and depends on what stage of development.
I take hydro tomato cuttings and put in soil all the time. I would not take a hydroponic cucumber plant that is more than a week or 2 and put it in the soil.
